Driver Hire Southampton is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a 12-week temp-to-perm van driving position. This role involves delivering steel products for one of our valued clients, and it's an excellent chance for a dedicated and reliable driver to transition into a permanent position.
About this Van Driving position:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am start time (8-10-hour shift)
- 12-week temp to perm
- Deliveries of steel on a 3.5T flatbed
- Manual handling and lifting involved
- Loading and unloading of van
- Deliveries mostly around the South Coast area
- Ensure paperwork is correctly filled out and daily vehicle checks are performed
- Up to 20 deliveries a day
Requirements from you as a Van Driver
- Hold a Full UK driving licence for a minimum of 1 year
- Previous strapping and multidrop experience are essential
- Great understanding of manual handling and heavy lifting
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role
- Previous experience in similar role is beneficial
- Own transport to commute to and from work
- Fantastic customer service and time management skills
- Flexible to work overtime when required
