KS2 Supply Teacher

Posted by Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited.

Your new company

Hays education works with several schools in the Skelmersdale area on a partnership basis, filling their daily supply needs. We are now looking ahead to September and looking for committed and reliable staff to fill these roles.
Perhaps you don't have anything secured for September, or maybe you're looking for a better work-life balance? Supply teaching can offer you the potential to secure long-term and permanent roles or provide you with flexibility to work days that suit you.

Your new role

In this job role, your main responsibilities will include carrying out lessons for absent teachers and this will involve using the lesson plans they have left for the class and ensuring pupils remain fully engaged with the learning. By being in this role, you should be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils. You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs and teaching style. Working for Hays Education will enable you to work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your commitments.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is preferred, however, this could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity, working in some excellent schools. You'll receive:

  • A day rate of up to from £100 per day in addition to holiday pay
  • Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals
  • Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals
