Our client is an established main contractor working on civil works within the water sector for high-profile clients. This organisation has a strong project pipeline and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Estimator to join their highly successful team. This is a permanent position based in their North East office with the option for flexible working.
Your new role
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Developing cost estimates for projects
- Evaluating and selecting subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing cost reports
- Assessing project risks and recommending measures to mitigate risks
- Preparing cost estimates for labour, materials and equipment
- Building relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Conducting site visits on occasion.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management (ideal)
- Experience utilising estimating software in the Civil Engineering industry
- Excellent written communication skills
- A full UK driving licence.
