Sheridan Maine are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic company on a a contract basis. This role is an initial 6 months with the possibility of being extended and will be wokring for a leading business based in Reading.
Duties of the position include:
- Daily completion of all bank reconciliations
- Using processes to automate the reconciliations process
- Posting payments on to the accounting system
- Pro-actively monitor, investigate and resolve reconciled transactions
- Ownership of monthly tasks including updating journals, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Assisting with other tasks when necessary
Requirements:
- Intermediate Excel user
- Experience using accountancy systems
- Strong organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Experience working in a busy accountancy environment
- Able to work on your own initiative
The company is accessible by public transport and parking is available on site. They also offer hybrid working.
