Your new role
This is a temporary role and dependent upon the workload, your assistance will be needed for a few weeks. This role is a hybrid position where you will be able to work from home, with some days in their Brentford office with visits to the site in West London
This is a steel framed studio project, and you will be required to carry out checks to ensure that they are meeting building regulations, checking quality, checking plans etc and providing a comprehensive report to our client.
This role requires a competent, qualified and experienced professional - ideally with a background in architecture or building surveying - commercial building experience.
- Plan checking to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, i.e. architects, builders, etc. on building control matters.
- Consultation with Fire Authorities as necessary
- To comply with those functions outlined within the companies Quality Management Systems quality procedures and Building Control Performance Standards and terms and conditions, i.e. Initial and Final Notices, etc.
- To communicate effectively (verbally, writing, electronically) to meet the job role above.
- Ensure records and filing are maintained to ensure the company's Quality Procedures, service levels and contractual requirements are being met.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a minimum qualification : NVQ 3 in Surveying or Architecture.
