Job Advert: Part Time or Full Time Care Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our residents with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and maintaining a high standard of care.

Position: Care Assistant
Location: Bampton
Hourly Rate: £12+, dependent on experience
Shift Times: 8am to 2pm / 2pm to 8pm / 8am to 8pm

Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent
Care Home Type: Residential specialising in dementia and elderly care

About Us: Our Care Home is a well-established and respected care home in Bampton, dedicated to providing exceptional, person-centered care to our residents. Our team of compassionate professionals strives to create a warm and supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including moving and handling.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assist with meal times, including serving food and helping residents to eat if required.
  • Administer medication under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or behavior.
  • Ensure the care home environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays.
  • A genuine passion for caring for others and improving their quality of life.
