Academics are looking to recruit a full time learning support assistant to join a school in the Dagenham area on a permanent basis to assist with the learning of a pupil who is in Year 1. The school have advised that the role will start in September and therefore all applications must be received by mid-day on 10th August 2024.
The school would like to appoint a learning support assistant who has recent experience working within the borough of Barking and Dagenham so have knowledge of referral processes and CAHMS. The student is in Year 1 so KS1 and personal care experience would be preferable but not essential.
Described as "A thriving and vibrant primary school" the school is located a short walk from both Dagenham East and Dagenham Dock stations the school is ideally situated for those wishing to commute via public transport. The appointed Learning Support Assistant will be working sat a school that is rated "Good" in their last inspection (2019) on a permanent basis with the salary ranging from £18,500 - 20,800 FTE dependant on experience.
Applicants for this Learning Support Assistant role must have:
- Experience working with pupils with SEND
- Child workforce DBS (Ideally on update service)
- 2 recent school based references
- Right to work in the UK
