Junior Developer

25-30k (+20% bonus)
Candour have partnered with an established retailer looking to expand their development team having had a highly successful few years in business. You will be involved in a combination of greenfield projects and working on internal systems. You will be mentored directly by the Senior developer and Lead dev, where training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PHP-based applications.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for application functionality.
- Implement and maintain API integrations.
- Participate in front-end development using vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, scalable code.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with PHP.
- Familiarity with Laravel or Symfony frameworks is beneficial, but not essential.
- Proficient in SQL and database management, ideal.
- Experience with API integrations.
- Basic front-end development skills (vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
