Job Title: Category Analyst

Location: Stevenage based with hybrid working (3/ 2 office split)

Salary £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience.

Henderson Brown are supporting our client in the recruitment of a Category Analyst. In this newly created position, the Category Analyst will carry out analysis and reporting of customer category data, consumer research, and market sales across categories.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Collaborating closely with the Category Manager, NPD, and Commercial teams to maintain sales information, retailer store category data, and data reporting.
  • Providing regular market performance updates utilising various intelligence and insight sources such as Dunhumby, Circana, Kantar and IGD.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and innovations, reporting relevant findings to the internal team and external customers using data storytelling.
  • Conducting ad hoc reviews and reports based on specific business and customer requirements.
  • Performing seasonal performance reviews, including range reviews and peak events throughout the year.
  • Providing support to the Commercial team as needed.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications required:

  • Able to accurately compile data into publishable formats.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Motivated and energetic with strong attention to detail, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly numerate with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly grasp databases.
