I'm working with a global leading media network agency, which is hiring a Digital Business Director in their London office. This is a six-month maternity cover and you must be based in the UK.
The role:

- £420 per day, inside IR35

Roles and responsibilities:
- Focus on key markets including the US, UK, Germany, France, and Australia.
- Collaborate with Integrated Agency Teams (Creative, in-house, Media) on global strategy development, ensuring a digital-first approach for brand activations.
- Utilize storytelling and data analysis to narrate media outcomes from a strategic perspective, converting insights into actionable learnings.
- Ability to transition seamlessly between marketing communications and detailed technical aspects.
- Engage with various stakeholders at multiple levels within the centralized client organization in Amsterdam.
- Drive key projects focused on tactical planning, innovation, sustainability, and diversity in media.
- Lead digital efforts across brand activations, representing the ecosystem alongside two regional digital planning directors in the absence of local market specialists.
- Serve as a key advisor, ensuring digital contributions to overall media and creative briefs.
- Oversee core environments including Social, YouTube, and Advanced Video (CTV, Streaming, VOD, etc.).
- Collaborate with Comms Planning to integrate digital elements, prioritizing digital and audience-first strategies.
- Work with US and EU Digital Directors (based in London and Amsterdam) and the in-house digital team on tactical planning.
The candidate:
- Preferably, a candidate with practical experience in digital strategy and planning.
- Knowledge of the US market is a plus, but expertise in the UK and Germany is required.
- Essential experience in Social media, with a preference for Programmatic and Video.
- A background in activation, with insights into targeting and segmentation, is beneficial. While the role is not hands-on with platforms, this expertise aids in developing strategy and platform-native creative briefs.
- Strong communication abilities, especially in PowerPoint, presentations, and storytelling, with a digital, data-driven, and audience-centric approach, are crucial.
