Your New Role
Our client is a fantastic organisation in the heart of West Berkshire, who are seeking a talented commissioning and procurement service manager. The role is a senior position, where you will be required to, manage the direction of a new service area, being key in the implementation, monitoring and reviewing of the service plan. You will ensure the delivery of the strategic and service objectives set out in the service plan. You will lead and give expertise in commissioning, procurement and contract management. The role requires the individual to take on a team of 8, offering continuous guidance and development.
Ensuring Your Success
Ideally you will have demonstrable experience working within a similar role, within a large organisation. An MCIPS membership is a requirement, alongside excellent team management capabilities. Due to the nature of the role, a background in change management and experience leading large complex projects is also essential. A strong procurement background, ideally in the public sector would be very helpful, with the ability to work under pressure and communicate very effectively.
