Immediate start!! This is a new role to help the NPD/Sourcing team over peak in the Summer. As the Product Innovation & Developer - Toys, Plush & Souvenirs you will be involved in research, costing, development & the managing of the critical paths of various products
Key Responsibilities of this Product Innovation & Developer - Toys, Plush & Souvenirs -
- Conduct thorough research and design innovative product concepts.
- Take charge of day-to-day activities involved in product development, including concept creation, design, cost management and negotiations, sampling, packaging, testing, and adhering to budgets and timelines.
- Monitor project critical paths and ensure that key milestones are met, enabling timely product launches.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager and Head of Category to optimize the commercial appeal of the product range while meeting client requirements.
- Coordinate the Buyers & New Product Development (NPD) team to work closely with each factory, guiding the production process from concept to completion.
- Overseeing the entire process from concept and brief to sampling and production. Managing the critical path at each stage and leading the Product Development team
Requirements for this Product Innovation & Developer - Toys, Plush & Souvenirs
- Immediately available for a short-term contract! Initially for 4 weeks with the potential of being extended.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Buying New product Development or Sourcing experience.
- You must have experience in Far-East sourcing and dealing with factories directly.
- Experience of the toys, souvenirs, stationary or gifts sector would be desirable.
- Excellent numeracy and Strong negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skillset.

- Hybrid working, 2 days in the office (this is working for 4 days in 1 week for a 1month contract)

- Salary - £150- 200 pounds per day/or can be a 1-month FTC (salary per annum will suit someone on 35 -55k).
