HR Generalist

Our client is a successful and growing organisation within the manufacturing industry. To support a period of change, they are now looking for an HR Generalist to join their team and support the HR Manager for 12 months.

As HR Generalist, you will report into the Group HR Manager and form part of the wider HR Team. You will have a passion for HR and enjoy getting on to the factory floor and understanding the operation from the ground up.

Some key duties include:

  • Proactively manage sickness absence through effective case management and contribute to strategies to reduce sickness absence
  • Manage allocated recruitment from vacancy approval to issuing of employment contracts.
  • Support managers with ER issues and in the delivery of the performance management cycle.
  • Assist in the annual performance review and succession planning process.
  • Participate in developing organisational guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage inductions and support with training.
  • Provide expert employment law advice and effective employee relation support
  • Provide basic HR analytics and management information as required
  • Support local HR related projects and participate in cross functional activities.

You will have previous experience within a similar role and be studying towards CIPD ideally. You will have previous experience of supporting a blue-collar work force and enjoy a varied workload.
