Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to support their day-to-day transactions, including bank, rent, sales ledger transactions plus periodic insurance claims processing.

Job requirements:

  • processing daily bank transactions including housing benefits and Allpay.
  • processing customer rent transactions on a daily and weekly.
  • raising sales invoices on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • preparing monthly bank reconciliations for group companies.
  • preparing monthly sales ledger reconciliations for group companies.
  • preparing weekly cash receipts for bank lodgements.
  • processing insurance claims and prepare claims reconciliations.

What they are looking for:

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Sales Ledger Assistant or similar role for at least two years is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Basic MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Open Accounts or similar accounting software is desirable).
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Educated to a GCSE level and pursuing the AAT or similar qualification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of what great customer service is.
  • Ability to work under pressure to monthly deadlines.
