We are helping a collaborative company recruit a Trim Development Engineer (Seats), and the role comes with an Umbrella rate of £38.97 per hour (Inside IR35).
The Trim Development Engineer will be responsible for seat development, with patterning, sewing, and component trimming capabilities. The role involves working with a Technical Specialist to deliver feasibility studies through physical seats. Offers post-interview will be aligned to the candidate's skill set and experience.
We are looking for a Trim Development Engineer with automotive patterning experience and a high level of skill in machine sewing. You will also require:
- Experience with all sewing techniques and the ability to read and interpret rendered designs, 3D CAD, drawings, and colour callouts
- Knowledge and experience of safe working practices adhering to H&S policies
- Experience in full trimming seats from patterning to finishing and flitting
- Engineering capability for seat functionality (airbags, climate)
- Previous experience working with leather, PVCs, and textiles
