Inbound Supply Coordinator

**Job Title: Inbound Supply Coordinator

**Location: York

**Reports to: York Factory Planning Lead

Duration - 3-6 months Temp

**Position Overview:

As an Inbound Supply Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to our York Factory. Your primary responsibility will be ordering inbound materials and managing supplier relationships to ensure we have the correct materials, in the correct quantities, to support factory production and meet demand.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Availability: Ensure the availability of all materials to meet the requirements of the supply stream production plans within defined cost and stock policy boundaries.
  • MRP Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes across the end-to-end supply stream.
  • Replenishment Planning: Create and optimise replenishment plans for raw and packaging materials over an 18-month horizon to ensure a steady supply to production while meeting working capital targets and stock cover policies.
  • Exception Management: Proactively manage exceptions with suppliers to ensure minimal disruption to the production schedule.
  • Issue Resolution: Follow up on delivery shortfalls and quality issues with suppliers, agreeing on actions to minimise the impact on customer service levels or working capital.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with Procurement business support and the Supply stream to develop and implement plans to close any performance gaps.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with suppliers, Procurement business support, and the Supply stream to identify and implement improvement opportunities to drive Total Delivered Cost (TDC) and service improvements or working capital reductions.

**Key Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in managing delivery shortfalls and quality issues.
  • Proven experience in MRP process improvement and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills to create and optimise long-term replenishment plans.
  • Ability to monitor and drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
