Assistant Accounts Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Assistant Accounting Manager to join a well-established firm. You'll play a vital role in managing a diverse client portfolio, supporting the development of junior team members, and enhancing accounting workflows.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Assistant Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a portfolio of jobs within the accounts team and playing a key role in the development of junior team members. If you have expertise in accounting standards, direct and indirect taxes, and are experienced with Xero accounting software, this position is an excellent opportunity to further your career. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of jobs within the accounts team.
  • Support the management team and Principals of the firm.
  • Review and finalise accounts under the guidance of the Senior Manager and Principals.
  • Prepare Corporate Tax Returns for FRS 105 clients.
  • Develop and maintain efficient accounting workflows and processes.
  • Assist in the development and mentorship of junior team members.
  • Build and manage strong client relationships.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and both direct and indirect taxes.
  • Significant experience with Xero accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • A proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills.
