We are seeking an IT Teacher to join our vibrant team, teaching students in years 7 to 9. This role is based in Cardiff, a city with excellent public transport links. The successful candidate will also be required to cover lessons in other areas of the school. We are open to considering newly qualified teachers (NQT) or unqualified teachers (UQT) for the right candidate, although qualified teacher status (QTS) is generally essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative IT lessons to students in years 7 to 9.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials according to curriculum guidelines.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to improve their learning outcomes.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Cover lessons in other subject areas as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Participate in school meetings and teacher training sessions to enhance teaching practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- QTS is essential, although NQTs or UQTs may be considered for the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of IT and various teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to cover other subjects as needed.
