Junior Contracting Executive

Do you have experience in negotiating and contracting rates and availabilities with hotels and ground handlers?

My client, one of the leading wholesale tour operator is seeking a Junior Contracting Executive to join their expanding team in London.

As a Junior Contracting Executive this position will offer an introduction to hotel contracting, therefore the successful applicant must have previous contracting experience or strong negotiation skills and be comfortable in developing and maintaining supplier relationships.

As a Junior Contracting Executive you will be responsible for negotiating contracts rates and availability with existing and new hotels in Europe with a focus on the Nordic and Baltic region.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Negotiating contracted rates and availability with both existing and new hotels.
  • Loading contracted rates and specials via our online contracting system.
  • Maintaining and monitoring our existing relationships with hotels with frequent visits and calls to hotel sales and revenue managers.
  • Frequent visits and calls to hotel sales and revenue managers in the Nordic & Baltic region.
  • Establishing new partnerships with hotels that we do not currently work with.
  • Analysing statistics and growth figures to drive forward Company profit and volume.
  • Coordinating with our Freesale, Sales, Reservations and Accounts teams to ensure a smooth working relationship.
  • Achieving special promotions with individual hotels, rate amendments, overrides, setting sensible targets etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous contracting experience or strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in a 2nd European language would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong Organisational and Administrative Skills.
  • Good Geographical Knowledge of Europe
  • Attention to Detail a Must.

THE PACKAGE:

  • A generous staring salary of £30,000
  • London / Hybrid working (2 days from home)
