Description:
As a staff nurse / preceptorship nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Upholding our core values of promoting openness, transparency, and learning
- Effectively managing shifts and attending regular meetings to review and monitor patients' care plans
- Building relationships with patients to foster trust while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns
- Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring side effects
- Accurately recording patient information and communicating with the multidisciplinary team regarding patient care needs
- Offering support and supervising junior staff and student nurses to ensure safe and effective nursing practice in a secure environment
- Performing administrative duties, including screening, assessment, and follow-up support of patients
- Providing care and support to patients and families while working effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
Skills:
- Registered Nurse with current registration (Mental Health / LD / Adult) appropriate to the job role
- Knowledge of child and adult safeguarding procedures
- Change management, organizing, and prioritizing workloads
- Ability to enhance care through evidence-based knowledge
- Professional development relevant to the care group
- Ability to assess and manage clinical risk
