HR Advisor – Recruitment focused

I am currently partnering with a fantastic manufacturing business who supply their products into the residential, commercial, civils and infrastructure sectors. Passionate about the highest quality products that drive sustainability.

They require a HR Advisor to join on a 6 month FTC, with the possibility of turning permanent, to support heavily on the recruitment for the business as well as providing other HR Generalist advice. You will be supporting the recruitment for the Group Functions area of this business which include HR, Finance, IT, Legal and more.

Salary between £30k - £35k PA.

Based in Leeds. Majority on site with flexible working options available.

Role Purpose

The role is responsible for providing HR support to Group Functions with specific focus on recruitment and providing HR support for the Group function employees.

The role will be accountable for attracting suitable candidates for assigned open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge and experience,and support the recruitment and management of the Group Graduate programme and will resourcing requirements across the Group.

The role will work with line managers from across group functions to, design job descriptions, source candidates through databases and social media, conduct interviews, and complete Workday processes effectively.

The role will be based from the Leeds head office.

Core areas of responsibility

  • Working with Line managers to understand hiring needs and developing job descriptions and advert specifications.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to compile a list of capability requirements, challenging personal and institutional biases.
  • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Conducting screening interviews and sorting through application to assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication effectively.
  • Completing Workday processes for recruitment and new hires including background checks and reference checking.
  • Lead on Group Graduate and Year in industry attraction and selection activity.
  • Provide support in coordination of the Group Graduate programme
  • Provide HR advisor support to Group Function employees
  • Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity, through external communication and referral activity.
  • Keeping up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations, and enforcing them across the Group.
  • Completing Talent mapping as directed by the Group Talent Director
  • Attendance and representing the Group at job fairs and hiring events as required.

Capabilities required

  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent
  • General HR experience in supporting Group Functions e.g. Finance, IT
  • Experience with recruitment processes and databases, in particular LinkedIn and Indeed
  • The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
  • Experience of using HRIS system – ideally Workday
  • Experience of recruitment / coordination of Graduate programmes
  • The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • A working knowledge of employment law and legislation
