Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Primary and Nursery school based in Northwich as they are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced early years teaching assistant for a long-term temporary contract. This is a full-time position that will last for a minimum of 2 full terms.
Your new role
In your new role as an early years teaching assistant you will be supporting across the schools EYFS and reception classes. You will work under the instruction of the class teach to provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment as to ensure that all pupils reach their full academic potential. You will work with your new pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, offering learn through play sessions and phonics to aid in the development of speech and language and social & emotional development.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you must have a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people aged between 0 - 5 years in the last 2 years, as well as:
- Previous experience with phonics
- A calm and patient approach to education
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in early years is advantageous but not essential
