As Carrier Service Delivery Manager, you will develop effective relationships with both carriers and customers to advance the provision of transport management services for the customer.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Ensure there is a mechanism in place to measure OTIF on a monthly basis - including overall OTIF and FTHR
  • Understand customer KPI targets and setting performance measurements for carriers
  • Manage carriers to the KPI measures in place and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Provide information to the finance team to support the budgeting process, managing to the agreed budget of the transport services on behalf of the client
  • Act as a point of escalation for issues that arise in the management of transport services
  • Work closely with MPC, understand and approve outbound delivery plans, and liaise with carriers direct to ensure collections are pulled on time
  • Apply continuous improvement methodology in the transport management operations to deliver service and cost improvement
  • Look for growth opportunities with the customer

About You

  • An understanding of Transport and/or Distribution
  • Excellent Customer Services skills supported by good commercial understanding
  • Strong team player
  • Experience of managing suppliers/carriers to KPI measure
