Our client based at Heathrow Airport is looking to employ 25 LGV 2 Drivers on a Temp to Perm basis
Shift Patterns:
- Main Pattern: 4 on / 2 off (8.5 hours/day), mixture of early and late shifts
- Alternative Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday (8.5 hours/day) until end of September, then 4 on / 2 off -
Key Requirements:
- LGV2 / Class 2 licence
- Airside driving experience (no qualification required)
- HGV qualification (newly qualified accepted)
5 year checkable work history with no more than 28 days gap
- Previous experience in airfreight work (desired but not essential)
- Good level of fitness
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure
- Adherence to and respect for Health and Safety regulations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicles and equipment airside in accordance with airport regulations
- Transport cargo and other materials between aircraft and designated areas
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and supervisors
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
Pay Rates:
- Standard Pay + Shift Allowance: £15.31 per hour
- Overtime (Monday to Friday): £21.55 per hour
- Overtime (Saturday - Sunday): £28.74 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £28.74 per hour
