We are currently seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer with expertise in Power BI and Azure Synapse to join a leading in Central Manchester. If you have a passion for data and the technical prowess to turn insights into action, this could be the perfect role for you!

Role Overview:
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that empower our client's decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights, leveraging Power BI for visualization and Azure Synapse for data warehousing and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into Azure Synapse.
  • Develop interactive and user-friendly reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize data performance and ensure data integrity and security across all platforms.
  • Maintain and update existing BI solutions as needed and ensure their alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BI and data analytics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, including data warehousing, data integration, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with other Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
