Accounts Payable Manager

HFG are currently working with an established Insurance Company who are looking to add an Accounts Payable Manager to their already strong Finance team. In this role the Accounts Payable Manager shall be responsible for accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal postings, cash management and other general financial administration. The Accounts Payable Manager shall report to the Finance Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable management
  • Purchase and expenses ledger postings
  • Cashflow management

  • Decision Making - Be able to apply own judgement and experience when making decisions or referring the decision to the appropriate person when it falls outside own role, authority, knowledge and experience.
  • Planning - Ability to manage time effectively by prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are adhered and planning ahead accordingly.
  • Organisational - Highly organised with the ability to meet the demands of both internal and external 'customers,' understand their needs and act promptly in response to requests and keep 'customers' regularly updated
  • File and Data Management - Able to keep accurate records in an efficient manner in accordance with internal policies and procedures
