Junior Process Engineer

A fast-growing, innovative company based on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon is looking for a Junior Process Engineer to take responsibility for the basic process design, operation and implementation of the business. Along with a salary of up to £43,000 per annum, you will also receive overtime opportunities, a bonus scheme, 8% pension, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and other perks!

This role would ideally suit someone with a degree in Chemical/Technical Engineering and previous experience gained within a Chemical plant. You will receive mentoring and guidance from the Engineering Manager to achieve your goals of developing into a fully trained Engineer.

You will be working in an agricultural environment, with exposure to wheat, grain dust and other allergens.

Please note: This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. Your own transport is required.

As Junior Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, configuring, and optimising industrial processes from inception through to start up and full-scale production.
  • Calculating and organising data for flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations.
  • Designing, reviewing and maintaining engineering information like, PID, PFD, ISOs, H&M balance, etc
  • Owning & governing manufacturing parameters.
  • Assessing processes, taking measurements, and interpreting data.
  • Designing, running, testing and upgrading systems and processes.
  • Developing best practice, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates quality of output, yields and energy efficiency.
  • Preparing specifications and operating instructions for equipment and conduct training to implement the process in the Refinery.
  • Performing simulations.
  • Managing cost and time constraints.
  • Performing risk assessments, HAZIDs & HAZOPs.
  • Participating in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
  • Project management by overseeing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognised codes and standards, and customer requirements.

We're looking for a Junior Process Engineer with:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technical field essential, ideally gained within a Chemical plant
  • Process Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial processes & related standards.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience in simulations.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of engineering software packages, i.e. CAD or AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with process safety.
  • Experience working within a Crush, Refinery or related industrial plant would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales.
  • Ability to perform in a challenging industrial environment.
  • Physically healthy and capable of working in a production site environment involving stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas.
  • "Safe by Nature" and demonstrated low/free accident work history.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
