Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has arisen to temporarily join my client, one of the leading real estate companies in the UK, as a Retail Manager for Trinity Kitchen in Leeds.

Role Objective: You'll drive the vibrancy and vitality of the Centre by proactively managing brand partner relationships built upon your knowledge and in depth understanding of retail and food & beverage to grow sales in line with agreed targets. We'll be looking for someone who has a broad retail background, is commercially driven, with a "can do" attitude, and the skills to help optimise sales in the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to drive sales and density using commercial expertise. Working with F&B and retailer brands to understand their business and marketing strategy in order to optimise sales.
  • Develop and implement an effective CRM strategy working with all brands to support the strategic asset plan.
  • Attend leasing meetings articulating centre performance as appropriate and support leasing teams with viewings.

Brand Partners liaison:

  • Undertake regular brand visits in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships, gain insight and knowledge around performance. Develop and implement an effective communication strategy ensuring brands are informed on commercial, marketing and operational issues.

Trinity Kitchen specific:

  • Work closely with street food operators in the market-place (with a bias towards the promotion of Leeds and Yorkshire based brands) to cultivate an annual programme of van changes throughout the year, that prevents professionally, with great quality food, excitement and a wide culinary choice to our guests (reflecting latest trends and guest interests), along with a strong income for my client. The timescale and frequency of the rotation of the vans should be agreed and reviewed annually with the Deputy Centre Director, Centre Director and Asset Director.
  • Ensure new van operators have the necessary legal documentation in place with my client prior to their start of trading.
  • Produce an annual operational budget for Trinity Kitchen, that includes security and housekeeping costs, to be provided to the Deputy Centre Director annually in October, for incorporation into the centre's overall annual Service Charge budget.

Analysis:

  • Collate and analyse daily, weekly and monthly sales data, ensuring the data is an accurate record of trading activity. Provide weekly trading and footfall data to internal stakeholders within agreed timelines.

Guest experience, training & coaching:

  • Take the lead in delivering effective Centre Induction Training for all new brands covering both operational and commercial requirements.

Central Marketing:

  • Work collaboratively with the central marketing team to motivate brands to participate in any sales growth opportunities such as events, promotions and marketing activities in line with the centre's marketing campaign.
  • Participate in monthly reviews with the marketing team to provide performance and sales update.

Additional requirements:

  • To work in conjunction with the Deputy Centre Director and Centre Director to focus on experience, not only for the guests to the centre but also for our brands.
  • Carry out the role of Duty Manager as and when required/as agreed with the Deputy Centre Director or Centre Director, including weekend working on a rota basis.

Requirements:

  • Retail management, Shopping centre, leisure or food and beverage experience.
  • Proven experience of delivering sales growth.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
