Description

The key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:

  • Gather and compile cost information from various departments.
  • Monitor and record daily expenses and cost transactions.
  • Analyse cost data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and valuations.
  • Support in preparing and reviewing budget reports.
  • Assist in generating regular cost reports for management review.
  • Help in allocating costs to different departments or projects accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Provide support to senior accountants in various accounting tasks and projects.
  • Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Proven working experience as Accounts Assistant.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
