The key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:
- Gather and compile cost information from various departments.
- Monitor and record daily expenses and cost transactions.
- Analyse cost data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and valuations.
- Support in preparing and reviewing budget reports.
- Assist in generating regular cost reports for management review.
- Help in allocating costs to different departments or projects accurately.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Provide support to senior accountants in various accounting tasks and projects.
- Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- Proven working experience as Accounts Assistant.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
