Data and Reporting Analyst - HR Fixed Term

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Strategy and People team as People Business Performance Analyst, on a fixed term basis for 12 months. You'll act as a data champion, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and analysis to support our commitment as an organisation in making data led decisions.

Based from our head office in Basingstoke, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.

The role

Reporting into our Strategy, Change and Performance Manager, you'll be working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to assist in the coordination and administration of people data reporting requirements to support the delivery of our Corporate Plan and People Strategy. Responsibilities include:

  • Being the main point of contact for HR data to the People team and wider business, providing data reporting advice, information, guidance, and analytical support
  • Managing people related management information and producing timely KPI reports to the Board and People team, including completing ONS survey data
  • Producing and maintaining accessible people data related management information dashboards for the business and the people team, highlighting trends and drawing insights as needed
  • Supporting Strategic HR Business Partners with analysis of people-related data, translating this into accessible information for business leaders
  • Analysis of internal and external people related data, using analytical techniques to help create actionable insight for colleagues to support data-led decisions
  • Identifying ways to improve meaningful data outputs/MI reporting and ensuring full usage of the HR systems, making recommendations to the Strategy and People Management Team
  • Using PowerBI to create people data dashboards in collaboration with the Data and Analytics team, supporting users to review interactive insights

What we're looking for

You'll need demonstrable experience in a data reporting role, with a track record in developing PowerBI reports. Any experience of reporting and analysis of people / HR data would be advantageous but isn't essential. You'll also need:

  • Strong administration experience within a busy working environment, working to deadlines
  • Strong PowerBI, data and MS Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to continually identify, challenge and drive process improvements
