Are you looking for your next teaching position within a large well-respected school?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a Chemistry or Physics Teacher to fulfil a full time, permanent role based within a large school catering to pupils aged 11-18 years of age. This role is set to start in September, and is a full time position.

The school is a successful and well-respected school with over 500 pupils who attend, located in over 1000 acres of rolling countryside, offering a well-balanced curriculum and incredible range of opportunity and activities. They believe that cognitive ability is not the primary determining factor in the happiness, prosperity and positive contribution to society, and that character and application is what shapes an individuals destiny. They aim for each young person to leave school with a better understanding of who they are, strengths, moral values and aspirations, and equip students with emotional intelligence and literacy, along with a growth mindset.

As the Science teacher, you will have experience delivering Chemistry/Physics lesson content to pupils within Key Stage 3 and 4 (preferably up to A Level), and have a passion for your subject. You will encourage good behaviours and provide opportunities for pupils to flourish within your assigned classes, and aim to be an excellent contributor to the schools education team.

The school is open to pupils 6 days per week, and is a boarding and day school. The salary for this role is currently set between £30-60k per annum, with additional benefits!

For this role, you will be/will need:

  • A degree in Chemistry/Physics or similar, with the ability and experience of teaching the subject
  • Ability to teach KS3/4 - up to A Level would be desired/preferred
  • Available from September 2024 on a full time basis
  • Open to teaching 6 days per week with a tutor group, and to holding co-curricular activities (such as netball, hockey, rugby or cricket)
