Finance Business Partner | Chester | £55,000 - £65,000

An opportunity to join a private equity backed business in Chester, a well known brand with excellent brand recognition. This opportunity is a newly created role, to work closely with the CFO and other heads of departments to increase the level of commercial information being distributed across the business.

A heavy emphasis on challenging existing assumptions and aiding in high level strategic decisions.

Main duties will consist of;

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics to support business initiatives
  • Analyse financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management to drive informed decision-making
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial support and facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Evaluate and monitor the financial impact of business initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies by providing financial insights and recommendations
  • Engage with business leaders to understand their financial needs and develop tailored financial solutions
  • Analyse financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management and provide insights for decision-making
  • Proactively identify potential financial risks and opportunities and provide strategic solutions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on financial matters

Candidate profile;

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CIMA qualification is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering or similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools such as Excel and ERP systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking
