Finance Business Partner | Chester | £55,000 - £65,000
An opportunity to join a private equity backed business in Chester, a well known brand with excellent brand recognition. This opportunity is a newly created role, to work closely with the CFO and other heads of departments to increase the level of commercial information being distributed across the business.
A heavy emphasis on challenging existing assumptions and aiding in high level strategic decisions.
Main duties will consist of;
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics to support business initiatives
- Analyse financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management to drive informed decision-making
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial support and facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes
- Evaluate and monitor the financial impact of business initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to the development of business strategies by providing financial insights and recommendations
- Engage with business leaders to understand their financial needs and develop tailored financial solutions
- Analyse financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management and provide insights for decision-making
- Proactively identify potential financial risks and opportunities and provide strategic solutions
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on financial matters
Candidate profile;
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CIMA qualification is highly desirable
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering or similar role
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools such as Excel and ERP systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking
