Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving team in Southport. This role has come about to support the company's strong position and contributing to its continued success as opposed to sourcing a replacement. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in refurbishment and fit-out projects within the MOD, MOJ, Education, and Healthcare sectors. This position involves a mix of office and site work, with a focus on local projects and no remote working, though flexibility is offered for school runs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee refurbishment and fit-out projects for various sectors, including MOD, MOJ, Education, and NHS.

Handle both frameworks and competitive tenders.

Conduct detailed cost analysis and reporting.

Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.

Conduct site visits to assess progress and manage financials.

Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Provide accurate and timely financial advice and forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience:

Ideally 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, particularly within refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Strong understanding of MOD, MOJ, Education, and Healthcare sector requirements.

Proven track record in managing both small works and major projects.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in relevant QS software and tools.
