Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality German language lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
- Participate in meetings at the school, which relate to the curriculum for the school or the administration or organisation of the school, including pastoral arrangements.
- Attend parents' meetings and be appropriately prepared to discuss student achievement and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in German education, such as QTS or PGCE.
- Prior experience teaching German at the secondary education level.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for German.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
