A Senior Contracts Manager for a NHS client in the South East is required for a NHS Trust at an 8b level paying between £64,000 - £74,000 per annum, depending on experience at this level. Candidates must have experience of NHS contracts, the NHS Standard Contracts and understanding of the commissioner and provider relationship. This is not a procurement role and procurement experience is not what the client is seeking for this role. You also must be able to work onsite 3 days a week as a regular working pattern, some ad hoc flexibility allowed but your regular working pattern will be 3 days onsite.
Key duties of the Senior Contracts Manager include:
- Be able to get a grip on the contracts register and be able to identify when contracts are due to expire
- Be astute in contract management to manage and monitor contract KPI's
- Be able to negotiate contracts where necessary
- Be responsible for a portfolio of small/medium/large contracts. Lead the contract negotiations, provide and/or analyse contract activity, hold regular contract review meetings and undertake any follow-up action. Ensure any Commissioner queries / disputes are resolved in a timely manner
- To initiate action plans and engage clinical leadership to drive robust contract management
Key experience required:
- Extensive experience in NHS Contracting and Commissioning
- Understanding of NHS Standard Contacts
- Experience of analysing complex performance and activity information, and evaluating the impact on business performance
- Experience of leading contracts and negotiations to a successful conclusion
