We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a great company based in Maidenhead. The role will include supporting the Group Financial Manager with various tasks, excellent communication skills are a must along with a solid accounting background. Hybrid working pattern on offer along with a competitive day rate.
Responsibilities:
- Interaction with in-territory country Finance staff regarding items in the books which are operationally managed by the territories
- Reviewing entries posted by assistant accountant in local books (SAGE)
- Review of management accounts and upload to corporate reporting system (Hyperion Financial Management or HFM) including clearing validations, allocations, accuracy and approval for HFM promotion
- Assist in preparation and review of budgets (onshore, UK and consolidation) for accuracy, omissions, consolidation adjustments, prior to capture to HFM
- Assist in capture budgets to HFM and clearing of validations, allocations, accuracy
- Review daily cash balances and projected inflows/outflows
- Review and approve payments
- Manage year-end finalisation on HFM
- Manage audit pack completion and auditor sign-off
- Assist with Statutory Accounts preparation
- Liaise with external auditors on operational level
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of finance and financial processes. A level of formal financial training will be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and ability to design and interpret complex spreadsheets
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative skills in order to work well with teams
- Exposure to ERP systems with SAP and Dynamics 365 being an advantage
- Exposure to corporate reporting systems - HFM an advantage
- Good working knowledge of the IFRS accounting standards and ability to apply to real life situations
