Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant to join our clients finance team on a temporary basis in Bethersden. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is looking to develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and financial reports, as well as analysing and interpreting financial data.
**Assistant Management Accountant
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform variance analysis and identify trends.
- Contribute to the development of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
- Support the senior management team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with financial legal requirements.
**Assistant Management Accountant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
- Working towards an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
