An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive primary school in Battle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and achieve their best.
  • Use assessment data to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare Year 6 students for their SATs while making learning enjoyable and relevant.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture, where students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to teaching.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering feedback on student progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in primary schools, particularly Year 6, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to plan lessons effectively.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Passion for supporting students' academic and personal growth, especially in preparation for secondary school.
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues.
