We are looking for an Infrastructure engineer to join our IT team. The role will be based in our Rayleigh office but will require regular travel to our other regional offices, including London. The role is ideal for 2nd/3nd line engineer, especially if they come from an MSP background.
Duties:
- Technical project delivery including infrastructure and networking deliveries
- Change management including changes / small projects raised from helpdesk
- Internal escalation point for helpdesk queries that cannot be resolved / overflow if required
- General IT duties such as laptop provisioning, office based IT troubleshooting, mobile provisioning
- Support due-diligence with acquisitions
- Support IT managers with project delivery
- Regular site visits to offices
Experience:
- At least 3 years in a project delivery role
- 3 years in a 3rd line or equivalent role
- Ability to setup a new office, end to end, including networking and supplier provisioning
- Ability to setup a server, both physical and virtual, including windows server setup
- Windows server setup of various roles and features including DC, file servers and remote app
- MSP experience is highly desirable
- Excellent level of communication, both written and verbally
- High level of troubleshooting
- Ability to identify issues and scope out solutions
- Ability to apply quality assurance to others work desirable
- Working with 3rd party supplier to deliver services
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Technical skills:
- Firewall setup including VLAN, IPS, VPN (P2S & S2S) and logging
- Switch and WAP setup
- Advanced level of cyber security knowledge across multiple technologies
- Advanced level of azure administration with focus on AVD and networking
- Advanced level of Intune administration including conditional access policies and app protection policies
- Mastery of Office 365 administration including complete tenant setup with all associated technology including DNS and EOP setup
- Understanding of DNS and associated technology including different types of records and best practices
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Good knowledge on Exchange online protection and defender
- Good knowledge on MS Teams administration
- Good knowledge of SharePoint as a storage solution with Teams
- MS Teams direct routing is desirable
- Co-pilot knowledge desirable
- Ubiquiti hardware experience desirable including dream machines and unifi Aps/switches
- PowerShell - Ability to understand and write PowerShell scripts
