Senior Customer Service Advisor

This established and successful magazine publisher has become a market leader over the last 20 years and is now a multi-media business publishing over 90 magazines titles. Whether it's Homes, Lifestyle, Cars or Pets, all their titles offer information and entertainment, delivered with knowledge and passion. Due to continued success they are seeking an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join their busy and friendly customer service team in their beautiful rural offices located in Yalding, Kent. This role requires high attention to detail with excellent organisational and great customer service skills. Customer contact is regular and therefore interpersonal skills are very important, together with an excellent, friendly telephone manner when answering inbound calls.

In addition to helping customers, you will also be required at times to support the Customer Services Manager to help improve service quality, and to occasionally supervise the team when the manager is unavailable.

Duties

  • Answering incoming calls, emails, and chats from customers across a range of specialist and lifestyle magazines and events.
  • Responding to customer enquiries quickly and efficiently.
  • Constantly striving to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Problem solving by clarifying, researching, and exploring answers and alternative solutions.
  • Maximising the value of every call by offering additional relevant products which may be of interest to our customers.
  • Ensuring that all administration tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Help to maintain and improve team training materials.
  • In the absence of the Team Manager, provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team.

Ideal applicants will have good customer service or call centre experience together with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to work well within a team, answering high volumes of inbound calls and providing admin based support.

  • Due to a rural location it is essential for applicants to have their own transport.
  • Hours are 8.30am - 5.00pm / 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday with a potential option of 1 day a week working from home which is usually a Friday.
  • Excellent annual leave of 26 days including a day off on your Birthday.
  • You will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £26-27K with excellent ongoing training, a friendly working environment and good opportunities to progress with an additional performance related bonus of around £1200 per annum.
