This is an exciting role for a Group Finance Controller to join a growing business. This role reports directly into the CFO and will manager 6x reports.
This will be a mostly office based role, in Brentford, with travel to Germany as needed.
German GAAP/entity experience is desired.
Group Finance Controller Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing all activities of the accounting departments
- Preparation of project and year-end statutory accounts in accordance with reporting guidelines.
- Report accounts in line with internal and external timetable.
- Consolidation of multi entity accounts.
- Ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives.
- Managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Developing and maintaining financial policies, procedures and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements cross the company.
- Collaboration with various internal and external firms, auditors, in all matter regarding auditing and taxation.
- Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Group Finance Controller Requirements:
- Qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Proven experience as a Group Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
- Technically strong with high level of awareness of IFRS and UK GAAP. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and identify and implement process improvement
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to commute to Brentford on a regular basis.
- German GAAP and German language skills would be a desirable
