The successful candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, as well as conducting MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).- Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues in various vehicles.- Conduct inspections for safety and reliability concerns.- Carry out MOT tests to meet DVSA standards.- Record test results and complete necessary documentation.- Explain MOT test issues and required repairs to customers.- Communicate effectively with customers about concerns and required work.- Provide repair and maintenance estimates.- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour for positive customer experiences.- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe.- Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained.Qualifications:- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.- Valid MOT Tester License (Class 4, 5, and 7).- Proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair.- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.- Valid UK driving license.Salary: Competitive salary based on experience from £30,000 +Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm with occasional weekends as required.Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentHoliday: 23 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)So, if you would like to apply for the role of Mechanic / MOT Tester, click to apply now.Additionally, if you know someone in the Bristol area who would be a great fit for this job, please feel free to forward this email to them.We look forward to hearing from you!
