Trainee Paraplanner - Knutsford
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE)

NJR Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a Chartered financial planning firm based in Knutsford, known for its high standards, prestigious client base, and ambitious growth plans. With over £420m in assets under management, this firm is expanding its Paraplanning team and seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to join their modern and collaborative environment.
About the Opportunity
This is a fantastic role for someone with at least two years of experience in a Paraplanning Assistant or Trainee Paraplanner role with is ready to progress into something more involved/technical. You'll gain exposure to technical tasks, client contact, research, and suitability reporting - all with a clear development path toward full Paraplanner status.
Key Responsibilities
- Support experienced paraplanners in delivering high-quality research and reports
- Interpret adviser instructions from client meetings and act on them accordingly
- Maintain accurate records in back-office systems (Intelligent Office preferred)
- Prepare suitability reports in line with a structured training programme
- Analyse client information and conduct fund/platform research
- Obtain provider illustrations and documentation
- Liaise with clients and providers to follow up on outstanding queries
- Ensure client files meet ongoing compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial planning environment
- Progress toward the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Good understanding of pensions, investments, and protection products
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with platform software preferred
- Clear communicator - both written and verbal
- Positive, driven, and accountable individual who thrives in a team
