MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a large employer of choice in Ipswich. You will work to improve profitability and cash through the execution of effective financial control while maximising operational efficiencies. As a key part of the team you will be involved in statutory reporting, financial reporting, taxation, financial controls and completion of the half year and full year statutory reporting.
Duties will be varied to include:
- Complete account reconciliations, review and clear balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis maintaining appropriate documentation to support audits.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records.
- Contribute to group-wide finance projects.
- Assist with the monthly Group reporting process ensuring all elements are completed in the consolidation.
- Interpret and implement financial accounting/reporting policies, standards, procedures, timetables and the requirements to the financial teams.
- Assist in preparing the Companies financial statements that reflect the financial position, including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
- Support the Financial teams with analysis and interpretation of financial information.
- Review accounting papers on technical accounting issues, including industry specific themes, considering different options and approaches.
- Monitor the company's financial transactions, including sales and expenses, to ensure they are accurate.
- Conduct audits to ensure that a company's financial records are accurate and comply with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns.
