Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum
Location: Wednesbury
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm
COMPANY PROFILE
Our esteemed Manufacturing client is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will be tasked with processing and managing supplier invoices, meticulously verifying, matching, and coding a high volume of invoices, as well as ensuring the timely submission and processing of employee expenses. The ideal candidate will adeptly collaborate across departments and possess strong time-management skills.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Keen attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Possess a proactive 'can-do' attitude
- Prior accounts payable experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Knowledge of Pegasus Opera or Infor Accounting Software is beneficial
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handling invoice processing across various software platforms
- Matching supplier invoices with purchase orders and accurately coding invoices
- Posting payments into the accounts package
- Dealing with supplier queries via telephone and email
- Conducting statement reviews and processing requisitions
- Verifying invoices and credit notes for accuracy
- Overseeing monthly expense submissions from employees
- Conducting supplier payment runs in a timely manner
