RM Recruit are excited to be working with a brilliant organisation in Leamington Spa who are seeking a resourceful Assistant Finance Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible in assisting with the full month-end process whilst ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Assist in variance analysis, comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts, and provide explanations for variances.
- Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Assist in the consolidation of departmental budgets and prepare variance reports.
- Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured and deadlines are met.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience with excellent knowledge of month-end processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role along with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You will possess a high attention to detail with strong time manage skills.
