I am working with a thriving manufacturing company based in Burnley who are now looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. This is a newly created role, due to the growth of the business.
Your new role
As Payroll Officer, you will be working within an experienced team, preparing the monthly and weekly payroll for over 300 employees across several companies in the Group. Your responsibilities will include managing the full end-to-end payroll process, payroll reconciliations, HMRC & RTI submissions and posting of nominal journals. You will work closely with HR, ensuring employee records are updated and administer P45s, P60s and onboarding documents. Alongside payroll, you will assist the accounts team with various tasks such as purchase ledger and sales ledger, but experience of this is not essential. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have experience producing end to end payroll and be a competent user of Sage 50. A good understanding of Excel is essential, with the ability to produce lookups.
What you'll get in return
In return for this, you will be offered a full-time salary between £28,000 - £30,000 per annum. Alongside this, your benefits package will include:
