- Tax Accountant

JGA are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation looking to add a Tax Accountant to its team!
Responsibilities include:
- Reconcile all tax and pension accounts monthly
- Take ownership for tax matters in the UK and Europe.
- Assist with preparing monthly accounts, including meeting deadlines
- Maintain and update a good working knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Prepare tax accruals for the Company records and accounts
- Complete VAT returns in the UK and coordinate the reporting and reconciling of VAT returns
- Management of duty declarations
- Collaborate with other departments to understand business practices and new projects
- Working in the Finance team to support the monthly accounts preparation
- Be the main point of contact for HMRC audits
- Prepare the Company PSA and UK Corporation tax returns
- Any other duties that help support the wider Finance team
Skills & experience required:
- Degree educated is preferable
- Accounting qualification would be an advantage
- Tax experience is essential.
- A high level of numeracy.
- Strong interpersonal, relational and communication skills.
- A good knowledge of business process, with the ability to document changes when required.
- Be self-motivated and flexible, with good personal organisation.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
