We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team at a primary school in Ripon. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons, providing assistance to individual students and small groups as directed.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources, helping to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, providing encouragement, guidance, and pastoral support as needed.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other professionals, contributing to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills in all interactions, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students are essential qualities.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
