We are working with a local authority who are looking for a Senior IT Service Lead to join the Digital, Data and Operations team.
New plans are in place to deliver on Mayoral priorities to improve transport, skills and housing for our residents, take decisive action to tackle the climate emergency, and to support communities facing the cost-of-living crisis.
Location: Southwest based Authority
Set-up: Hybrid role, 2 days on-site required
Rate: £500 - £550 per day via umbrella, inside IR35
Duration: Minimum 3-month initial contract, likely extension
Hours: Full-time position
The work will include:
- Provide core IT Service Management and Leadership cover whilst permanent recruitment is undertaken
- Manage the relationship with our outsourced IT partner, including managing and monitoring SLAs and project delivery
- Embed IT Service Management best practice, with particular focus on onboarding new services
- Complete review and implementation of our IT and InfoSec policy framework and phase 2 of our cyber resilience plan
- Support the Head of Digital, Data and Operations in defining and developing the MCA's future model of Digital and Data services, options appraisal, and subsequent plans for transition to new arrangements
Qualifications and Education:
- Experience leading IT teams
- Experience managing IT providers to deliver against SLAs
- Experience working in an ITIL (or similar) environment
- Understanding of a range of IT delivery models
